The club coaches work with the pupils in our primary schools to specifically teach the pupils the fundamental movement skills required to play games from the PE Curriculum as well as the basic gripping, swinging and striking motions of camogie and hurling.
Since this programme commenced in February 2015, the children have really enjoyed these sessions and it has led to an increase in participation at club level and our coaches have reported a big improvement in Fundamental Movement Skills such as running, jumping, skipping, co-ordination etc. Due to your very generous support we are delighted that this programme will be continuing among all pupils within school hours from Junior Infants to Sixth Class.
