OUT NOW! The newest edition of Tradrai magazine is packed full of photos and articles on all our teams in 2019 and loads of interesting features. From the finest hour of our legendary 1960s midfielder Liam Danagher to a first-hand account of the war in the Congo from Sean Shanagher of Ballycar. The history of camogie in our parish is traced back all the way to the 1930s and there are profiles of Johnny Quinn, Veronica McMahon and the force of nature known as ‘Cats’.
Of course, these are challenging times for everyone in our community and we hope that reading these pages will help many to pass the time during this period of isolation. The magazine is not a fundraiser, rather a labour of love produced by our volunteers and priced purely to cover the cost of printing, nevertheless we feel there is huge value in annually recording as much as possible of the sporting and indeed the wider life of our parish. It’s available in Halpin’s Garage and Newmarket Family Butchers but for anyone who isn’t in a position to venture out, we are happy to arrange a (contactless) delivery.
